LAMDA Musical Theatre Exams

LAMDA MT exams at Entry Level, Grade 1, 3, 5 and 7

(Grade 8 to follow in 2026)

BEAP is offering Musical Theatre qualifications with The London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA)

We are thrilled to be able to say that, after last year's success, this time we our expanding our offering to include Grade 5 and Grade 7 exams.

If you were part of the BEAP LAMDA journey last year, you will remember what a fantastic experience it was for all those taking the exams.

Preparation Sessions

Entry Level and Grade 1 will be offered to primary aged students, with rehearsals taking place at King David High School, 7-8pm on Tuesdays

For students enrolled into our LAMDA Grade 3/5/7 programme, prepartion begins Saturday 13 September and then between Saturday from the 4th October - 28th February, with all rehearsals taking place at the City of Liverpool College Arts Centre. These sessions are not weekly but move around a specific Timetable.

Each Tuition Package includes 1:1 sessions in vocal, movement and acting, with some group sessions taking place on theory and group skills. All packages also include an introductory workshop, taking place in September, and a mock examination, taking place the week before the exam, for the higher grade we will also be doing a recital evening open to the public.

Exams

At BEAP we get to know every student, and will happily advise as to which level you should be working at.

The content of each examination is slightly different. Please check out our LAMDA hub for more information on the content of each exam.

Exams themselves will be taking place on the 28th February 2026, with all students also partaking in a mock examination with one of our LAMDA staff the week before.
