Entry Level
About the Entry Level
The LAMDA Entry Level Award in Solo Musical Theatre helps learners develop their acting skills through singing. The syllabus requires that performers sing one song of at least 2 minutes length, and this year all entry level performers will be performing In Summer from Frozen. This is a comical song with a fantastic melody and will give everyone a chance to showcase their vocals, comedic timing and movement.
Students will also learn how to answer questions about their performance. For entry level, these questions revolve around the character in their song, the emotions they portrayed during the song and what is happening in their piece.
Costs
Compared to private tuition, our LAMDA programme offers exceptional value with professional teaching and minimal disruption to your family schedule.
Tuition and venue costs are split across five months, with payment due on the 1st of each month. We do ask for the exam fee upfront, so that we can pay it to the exam board straight away and secure our exam booking. The cut off date for deposits is the 7th September 2025. See below for a full breakdown of costs, and never hesitate to contact us with any questions.

Think Entry Level isn't for you? Head back to the LAMDA Hub to get more information on other grades, or contact us to find out what Grade we think you are working at.

Rehearsal Timetable
Rehearsals for entry level pupils will take place intermittently on Tuesdays at King David High School from 7-8pm. Please see a full rehearsal timetable below.

Exams
All students will take part in a mock examination on the 21st February at the City of Liverpool College Arts Building between 2 and 5pm. This mock exam will make sure that each student is fully prepared for what to expect when entering the exam room, and will allow our LAMDA tutors to give them some final feedback before their exam.
The final examination will take place on the 28th February at The Liverpool Bluecoat School. Exam day last year was a vibrant occasion, with Ali and Emma on hand to support the children at any time. All the examiners are lovely, and there will be tea and biscuits available for all waiting parents. This is the only day exams can take place, and not being available on this day will mean your child won't be able to take their LAMDA exam this year. Please contact us if you have any questions regarding rehearsals or exams, we are always here to help.
