Big BEAP is excited to be performing ALADDIN

Last year's BEAPanto was a dazzling production of Cinderella, complete with the opportunity for a free visit to Santa's Grotto, cups of mulled wine and a show full of audience interaction. We are so excited to be back this year, and we hope to bring more festive fun to you and your family.

If you love musical theatre but have never stepped into the world of panto, get ready to add a whole new set of skills to your repertoire! The pantomime genre is fast-paced, interactive, and full of audience participation — it will sharpen your comedic timing, boost your confidence, and teach you to think on your feet. It's a chance to try larger-than-life characters, master improvisation, and connect with audiences in a way that's completely different from musical theatre, and will make you a more versatile and fearless performer.

And, with industry professional tutors available to guide you every step of the way including pantomime expert choreographer Jo Walls, BEAPanto’s Aladdin is sure to take you to a whole new world.

Auditions

We accept all those who apply into our company, no audition needed, however there are only 50 places, so better get in quickly!

Audition material will be sent out via request in September, video auditions should be sent in by October 4 and cast will be announced on Oct 8. More information on what roles can be auditioned for and audition excerpts will become accessible when you apply.

Rehearsals

Rehearsals and performances will take place in the City of Liverpool College Arts Building, utilising their state-of-the-art theatre, practice rooms, dance rooms, cafe and more. Full costuming, tech production and set will also be used for the performance,  to give our students a real life experience of what putting on a genuine professional production would be like.

 Costs

The entire course costs £200 per student.

This price is all inclusive, apart from tickets, which will go on sale roughly two weeks before the performances. £75 is required to hold your place and the balance of £125 is due 1 week before we start so 27 October.

We do offer full scholarship places to students who are on the Pupil Premium register.  We offer this for all our BIG BEAP courses in our effort to make the arts accessible to all, so please don't hesitate to contact us if this applies to you.
